Number of COVID-19 deaths raises to 9
The Tigray region has announced that out of the 45 Coronavirus patients in the region, 1 has died.
The 29 year old woman had an existing kidney condition. This raises the number of deaths to 9.
US cities are rocked by protests
Enraged protestors demanding justice for George Floyd, another unarmed black man murdered by police brutality.
The former police officer is going to stand trial on Monday for third degree murder. Protestors in Minnesota, NY, Atlanta and Texas have clashed with police and state of emergency has been announced.
Angry protestors have destroyed precincts, police cars and stores. Chaos has fallen on these cities as looters were committing robberies.
Pentagon is considering deploying the military to keep the peace in these cities where many have been arrested due to the protests.
Requests to resolve issues between TPLF and federal governmentPolitical parties in Tigray region are requesting the Federal government and the region’s administrator party (TPLF) to resolve their issues. Tension caused by difference of ideologies has resulted in threats and arrogance on both sides.
The parties warn that if these issues are not negotiated and resolved they may lead to unrest and conflict within the country.
they also state that Tigray people do not want war and if necessary, the resolving of the issues will be done by mediation.
Kuwait to make new legislationKuwait is to enforce new population laws concerning the number of foreigners within the country.
The new legislation intends to restore jobs held by foreigners to Kuwaiti citizens.
This legislation is expected to persuade 844,000 Indians, 250,000 Egyptians and other foreigners to return to their homelands. Officials are expected to decline pending employment requests.
26% of government employees are from other countries and out of the 4.7 million people only 30% are Kuwaiti.
