Eggs and petroleum jelly for softer skin
This home remedy is widely used amongst women. It helps maintain moisture, prevents wrinkles and restores damaged skin. When the skin is damaged because of exposure to sun, acne and rashes, this treatment becomes handy. It also removes blackheads. Even though dry skin is usually clear, it is more prone to wrinkles therefore moisturizing oils such as castor oil and olive oil must be used daily. Oily skin on the other had is more prone to acne and scars left behind from the acne. Petroleum jelly is the most popular moisturizing agent. It is odorless so it prevents rashes from forming on the skin. Egg yolk prevents unnecessary oiliness on the skin and treats acne.
Break an egg and separate the yolk. Mix with just a little amount of petroleum jelly and apply on the face. Rinse after 30 minutes. You may feel dryness a few minutes after application. You must not massage it. Wash with soap and water. You may observe its effect through the first use. Do this twice or 3 times a week for dry skin and once a week for oily skin. You may add lemon on the mixture for best results.
