These four lies have been told so many
times that many individuals accept them as truth. Being aware of these four
lies can help one be free from societal and mental pressure that holds them
back from what they want to achieve.
All who were smart during childhood will remain smart in adulthood. We have been raised to believe that strength, confidence, charisma
etcetera are traits that some people are born with and tend to believe all the
negative critics that our parents, relatives and society give to us as
children. It is believed that there are two types of people; those with a fixed
mindset who have accepted what they have been told and live with it, and those
with a growth mindset who strive to change and grow as they see no limits to
Humans use only 10% of their brain. This
idea has been made popular through movies and books about unlocking the
non-working percentage of the brain. However this notion is completely false.
All mistakes are failures. Many people
are ready to give up saying “this isn’t for me” after trying and failing in
some aspects of their lives such as romance, business and education. We must
learn to accept our mistakes not as failures but as a way to learn to take the
next step to becoming successful.
Your family knows more about you than you. Just because your family raised you, it does not mean that they
will always want what is best for you. They know of your habits but they do not
know of your inner most desires and dreams. Therefore, you must chose who you
want to be without fear of judgment or criticism.
