Home remedies to treat dry hair

Hair loses its softness and moisture for many reasons such as washing hair with hot water, using too much shampoo and conditioner, straightening hair too frequently, washing daily and not applying enough hair oil. Here are a few home remedies to treat dry hair.

1.Banana and castor oil: castor oil is one of the most effective oils to treat hair. Bananas are rich in potassium and natural oils which moisturize and soften hair. Mix the juice of 2 ripe bananas with 4 spoons of castor oil. Apply thoroughly on hair and rinse after 2 hours with cold water. Use this remedy twice a month.

2.Apple vinegar, olive oil and eggs: Apple vinegar removes dandruff and fungus which are responsible for hair dryness. The high amount of fat contained in eggs and olive oil helps keep the hair shiny and moisturized. Mix 2 eggs, 4 spoons olive oil and half a spoon of apple vinegar and apply on hair. Cover with plastic for 2 to 3 hours and rinse with cold water.

3.Shea butter and avocadoes: Shea butter is the most effective treatment for African hair. Avocadoes help to boost shine of hair. Mix the juice of 2 ripe avocadoes with 3 spoons of Shea butter, apply thoroughly on hair and rinse after 3 hours.

4.Eggs and yoghurt: mix 2 eggs with half a cup of yoghurt, apply on hair thoroughly and wash after 2 hours with cold hair.
