Why does our arm pit skin darken?
When shaving, the sensitive part of our arm pit skin get irritated. Which is the primary reason of darkened skin. When shaving we should take great care and we should use shaving cream or conditioner.
Waxing is a better option for removing hair, because it removes hair from the root. Hence, unlike shaving you don’t have to wax every now and then.
- Another reason is, usage of deodorants. The chemicals found in deodorants can be harmful to the skin, which in time makes our skin dark. So, instead of fabricated chemicals, it better to use natural options like lemon. Also, Dove and Nivea have whitening deodorants.
- Accumulation of dead skin is another reason for darkening arm pit skin. A good way to avoid this is to wash the area very well but not too roughly when we shower.
- The fourth reason is Wearing tight cloth. As we said earlier, arm pit skin is very sensitive. Wearing tight cloth creates friction between our skin and the cloth. Which can easily hurt our arm pit and cause darkening.
Natural way of exfoliation
- Lemon and sugar scrub
Take half of a lemon, sprinkle some sugar on it, and scrub on your arm pit for 2-3 minutes. This is better done after showering. The sugar takes off dead skin while the lemon cleans it. You can do this twice a day
- Baking soda scrub
Take 1 spoon full of baking soda, add small amount of water and mix it. This will create a light paste. Then take the paste and apply it on your skin. Because baking soda is a heavy chemical, it should not be rubbed on your skin roughly.
